Kids don't often ponder train to be 'cool' or 'bodoni.' Most of us remember school as sitting in a desk covered in 20-year-old ornament while reading from a history text book that stopped at the Cold War. Whether a result of a lack of funding or the administration's aversion to change, schools are rarely considered to be on the cutting edge of technology. Yet more school administrators are realizing the educational benefits modern technologies offer students. This attitude shift began with the introduction of the Internet in the 1990s. The Internet's possibilities in terms of learning and education were quickly realized, and computers with Internet connections soon became widely adopted by many school systems.

 

We begin with the line tool to cut the screen into quadrants. Then with the alphabet stamped we put one season name into each quarter. With the "wacky paintbrush" bare branch trees can be added to each section. Eventually, using the spray can in the "wacky paintbrush" tools we can add the appropriate leaves to each area. Lots of colours for the autumn trees. No leaves for winter. Bright green leaves for the new emerging leaves of spring along with some pink for all the flowering trees, and then full green for the summer.

 

Technology has become an important component in the current age we live in. Every day there is some new gadget or software that makes lives easier and improves on the technology and software that already exists. Making lives easier is not, however, the only role technology plays in our lives. Technology is playing an increasing role in education. As technology advances, it is used to benefit students of all ages in the learning process. Technology used in the classroom helps students adsorb the material. For example, since some people are visual learners, projection screens linked to computers can allow students to see their notes instead of simply listening to a teacher deliver a lecture.
